Stamp Design:  The North Academic Cluster is a five-level building situated at the north end of the main campus. Classroom interactions and laboratory experiential learning in Nursing and Criminology are held therein. It also houses academic offices. Its classic design aesthetically enhances the University's adherence to the tradition of excellence in education. Overlooking the Cagayan de Oro River, the building provides the students a serene, quiet venue conducive to learning.

Liceo de Cagayan University

On the foreground stands the University ecumenical Chapel, done in neoclassic architectural style. The Chapel bears witness to the Founders' deep sense of faith in the One Who is the true source of wisdom and knowledge and concretizes the University's commitment to the spiritual nourishment of the students towards achieving total human formation.

This year marks the Golden Jubilee of the founding of the Liceo de Cagayan University. Founded in 1955 by the late Atty. Rodolfo N. Pelaez of Cagayan de Oro City and his wife, Elsa P. Pelaez of Cebu City, the Liceo offers a wide scope of faculties and programs, among others: the College of Arts and Sciences, Education, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Information Technology, Nursing, Criminology, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, Graduate Studies and Basic Education Department. It was in 1997, after decades of its continual expansion and development and after compliance with CHED regulations when Liceo was elevated to become the first private non-sectarian university in Cagayan de Oro.

Its tireless commitment to deliver quality education is evidenced by its having garnered academic distinctions in both regional and national levels, the accreditation of many of its curricular offerings and its Deregulated status granted by the CHED.

Under the leadership of Dr. Rafaelita Pelaez-Golez, the University has entered a new academic period marked by further emphasis on human resource development, research activity including those on environmental concerns, upgrading and addition of physical facilities and offering of courses that meet the challenges of new technological advancements of the era.
