LIM LEADS IN LAUNCHING COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS AT
POST OFFICE
Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim led in the launching
of the commemorative stamps for the Philippine Che Yong Cua and Chua
Family Association at the Manila Post Office.
Lim congratulated these families for their
concern and assistance to their fellow Filipinos in time of crisis
such as earthquakes, fires and other natural calamities.
He also acknowledged their scholarship program
for the children of poor families as a token of recognition for the
hospitality of the Philippine government in allowing them to put up
business in the country.
Lim asked them to continue promoting their civic
consciousness programs to the less fortunate people, especially with
the current global financial crisis, where a lot of Filipinos have
lost their jobs and could hardly shoulder the increasing prices of
some commodities.
Lim also
congratulated the Cua and Chua Family Association for their
friendship and camaraderie and asked them to work together as a
whole to solve the everyday trials.
