2019 VALENTINE'S DAY - KING AND QUEEN OF HEARTS

Valentine’s Day or “Araw ng mga Puso” in the vernacular is celebrated worldwide annually on February 14.

Valentine’s Day is associated with romantic and evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by sending flowers, confectionery, or greeting cards, known as “Valentine’s Card.”

Valentine’s Day symbols that are used today include hearts, doves, and cupid. This year’s Valentine’s stamps featured the Filipino king and queen of hearts in national costumes to imbibe the Filipiniana way of celebrating the “Araw ng mga Puso” in our country.

As what the artist’s concept says, “The king is giving his heart to his queen and in return the queen gives her words of endearment as an expression of her love to her king”.
