Department of Finance (DOF) - 125th Anniversary, 1897-2022

The Department of Finance (DOF) was founded by the Philippine Revolutionary Government on April 24, 1897.  The DOF is the steward of sound fiscal policy for the government. Mandated through Executive Orders 127, 127-A, and 292, it delivers on critical tasks, including but not limited to: revenue generation, resource mobilization, and fiscal management - all to ensure that the Filipino people benefit from basic services and a strong, growing economy with equity and productivity. It supervises the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Treasury, Bureau of Local Government Finance, the Insurance Commission, the National Tax Research Center, the Central Guard of Assessment Appeal, The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Philippine Guarantee Corporation, the Privatization, and Management Office, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
