World Stamp Championship, Singapore
The 2004 World Stamp Championship will be held from August 28 to
September 1 at the Suntec Singapore Halls, Singapore.
Sponsored by Singapore Post (SingPost) with William Tan Soo
Heck as its Chairman, and, World Stamp Championship Organizing
Committee headed by Koh Seow Chuan as President.
The Philippines is
participating in the exhibition with several exhibits from local
philatelists and Philpost will be represented by a local
dealer,Stamp Shop, at the
Trade Booths.
For the occasion,
Philpost will issue a modified version of the Philippine Bonsai
souvenir sheet (issued on July 27, 2004).
The four Bonsais featured,
are the same, but the background were changed to the "vanishing"
type. The denominations of
two of the stamps were changed so that the face value for the
souvenir sheet will have a total of 17p, the postal rate for Asian
countries. The right margin is completely new.
Aside from the show’s logo
and text, and, Philpost logo, it includes the message “Greetings
from the Philippines” printed in red.
