PhilaTaipei 2016 - World Stamp Championship Exhibition

October 21 - 26, World Trade Center, Taipei


PHILATAIPEI 2016 World Stamp Championship Exhibition will be held at the World Trade Center in Taipei. The Exhibition will open on October 21, 2016 and close on October 26, 2016.  The purpose of the Exhibition are:

To stage the fourth FIP World Stamp Championship Exhibition, which will be the highest level of competition in philately where the best philatelists in the world will compete for awards. There will be 3 finalists: The World Champion, First Runner Up and the Second Runner Up. The World Champion is therefore recognized as having won the highest award in the world’s stamp competitive exhibitions.

To promote friendly relations and maintain close cooperation among philatelists and stamp collectors throughout the world.

To promote philately and stamp collecting at the highest international level.

To improve and develop Chinese Taipei philatelic culture by providing Chinese Taipei philatelists and stamp collectors with opportunities for international creative activities.

PHILATAIPEI 2016 is organized by Chinese Taipei Philatelic Federation, Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd. and Taiwan External Trade Development Council, in accordance with the F.I.P. General Regulations for Exhibitions. PHILATAIPEI 2016 is managed and run by an Organizing Committee.

PHILATAIPEI 2016 is a “World Stamp Championship” Exhibition which was officially granted Patronage in the F.I.P. Board Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on December 6, 2014.   It will also be held under the auspices of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP).
